Manchester United appoint new CFO
Cliff Baty has been appointed as the new chief financial officer of Manchester United, the Premier League club confirmed on Monday.
Baty, who has held the role of CFO at Sportech, which owns and operates sports entertainment company The Football Pools since 2013, will join the 20-times champions of England in 2016, Sportech said.
In a statement, the London-based company said Baty had a 12-month notice period and his actual departure date would be confirmed in due course.
"We are very pleased to welcome Cliff to the club,” said United’s executive vice chairman Ed Woodward.
"He is a proven finance executive who brings a wealth of international business experience, and will be an excellent addition to our senior management team."
