The London-listed firm said the appointment, effective immediately, would see Morris working alongside Helen Steers, succeeding Jie Gong in the role.
It said Morris, an investment partner at Pantheon, is based in London and plays a crucial role in the firm's private equity secondaries business.
Her experience included sourcing and executing investments for PIP, particularly in single-asset secondaries, aligning with the company's increasing focus on direct company investments.
Morris had been with Pantheon since 2006, following her tenure at Cdb Web Tech, a Milan Stock Exchange-listed investment vehicle, and had also worked in Pantheon's San Francisco office for 2.5 years.
She serves on several key committees at Pantheon, including the global secondaries investment committee, investment management committee, and sustainability committee.
“The PIP board welcomes the appointment of Charlotte Morris as co-lead manager alongside Helen Steers,” said chair John Singer.
“Her lengthy tenure at Pantheon, her experience in the US market, which is where the majority of PIP's portfolio is invested, and her expertise in the specialised area of single-asset secondaries, will be of great benefit and value to the Company's strategic development.
“We are grateful to Jie for her support over the past year, especially for her work on PIP's corporate strategy.”
At 0857 BST, shares in Pantheon International were up 0.7% at 317.71p.
