The FTSE 250 company said that 39-year-old Das is currently the managing director and chief financial officer of Capital & Counties Properties.
The board expects to Das to join SEGRO in the new year and will succeed Justin Read who will retire at the end of 2016.
Das joined the Board of Capco as its finance director in 2010, at the age of 33, upon its demerger from Intu.
In 2015 he became managing director, taking on investment responsibility for the Covent Garden estate in addition to his finance role.
Prior to joining Capco, Das spent two years as a partner in Mountgrange Investment Management and 9 years at UBS where he was an executive director within the investment bank specialising in real estate.
"On behalf of the board, I thank Justin for his excellent leadership of SEGRO's finance function over the past five years and wish him well in his retirement,” said SEGRO chief executive David Sleath.
“We are fortunate to have been able to replace Justin with someone of Soumen's experience and capability and we are very much looking forward to welcoming him to SEGRO.”
Capital & Counties also issued a statement, confirming that Das would remain there until an orderly transition has been completed.
Its board said that as the effective date of his resignation is not yet confirmed, it will be announced separately, and it had commenced the process to appoint a successor.
“I would like to thank Soumen for his valuable contribution to Capco,” said chief executive Ian Hawksworth.
“During his six years here Soumen has played a key role in transforming Capco into one of the largest central London property companies.
“We wish him well in his new role,” Hawksworth added.
