Spectris completes acquisition of Switzerland-based company
Spectris, which focuses on productivity-enhancing instruments and controls, has completed the acquisition of privately-owned CAS Clean Air Service for an undisclosed sum.

CAS is a cleanroom-services company based in Switzerland, which generates annual revenue of around CHF10m (£7.1m).
The group will be integrated into Particle Measuring Systems within Spectris' Materials Analysis segment.
Business group director Eoghan O'Lionaird said: “CAS has a strong reputation for providing high quality services to the life science and pharmaceutical manufacturing industries, and is an important and strategic addition to PMS.
“We believe there is a strong cultural fit with PMS, and that the combined capabilities will create additional value for our customers as well as increasing the resilience of PMS's revenue stream.”
The deal represents Spectris' seventh acquisition in the last two years as it looks to focus on the provision of innovative solutions to customers, encompassing hardware, software and services.
At 0935 GMT, Spectris shares were down 0.4% to 1,737p.
