Vedanta Resources promotes Arum Kumar to CFO
FTSE 250 listed Vedanta Resources, a diversified metals miner and energy company, promoted its deputy Arun Kumar to chief financial officer.

Kumar, who was previously deputy CFO, succeeded DD Jalan, who retired after 16 years with the company, and will provide support during the transition.
Chairman Anil Agarwal thanked Jalan for “his sound advice, integrity and commitment”, which made a “positive impact to Vedanta's journey”.
Agarwal added: “DD's business insight in the role of CFO for the last decade has empowered the Vedanta team, and I am pleased that the company is well positioned to deliver on its strategic initiatives, with Arun taking up the mantle."
Kumar, a qualified chartered accountant, joined Vedanta in 2013 as CFO for the company's aluminium and power business and was made executive vice president finance and deputy CFO in 2014.
He has over 21 years’ experience and previously worked at Hindustan Unilever India and General Electric.
Shares in Vedanta Resources were down 1.27% to 584p at 1551 BST.
