Wizz Air's passenger numbers rise 17% in August
Budget airline Wizz Air increased passenger numbers by 16.6% in August as it announced new routes to and from several central and eastern European countries and launched a new website.

For the rolling 12 months ended 31 August passenger number were up by 19.8%, compared to the same period a year ago, as aircraft capacity increased 18.3%.
In August, the FTSE 250-listed airline launched ten routes to and from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, and added two new aircrafts to fly these routes.
That month also saw Wizz begin flying 18 new routes to and from Romania, Serbia, Montenegro, Poland, Bulgaria, Hungary, Lithuania, and Ukraine, and opened a seventh Romanian base in Sibiu.
