New York-based ScrollMotion, which has developed a platform for building interactive mobile content without the need for developer0,s has worked with clients such as Apple, JPMorgan Chase and Verizon.
The company’s software division develops designer-friendly tools that enable clients and agencies to build and distribute interactive mobile content for sales teams, trade shows and kiosks. Its creative agency, ScrollMotion Blue, works directly with clients to design apps.
WPP said the investment continues its strategy of focusing on three key areas that differentiate the group's offering to clients: technology, data and content.
Digital revenues at WPP came in at more than $7bn in 2015, representing 37% of the group’s total revenues of $19bn.
At 1520 BST, the shares were down 0.5% to 1,746p.
