The FTSE 100 company said it expected its ADS to begin trading under the new ticker 'WPP' on the NYSE from 28 November.
It said its ADS would continue to trade on Nasdaq until the transfer was complete.
WPP's primary listing of its ordinary shares would not change, and continued to trade on the London Stock Exchange under the ticker 'WPP'.
“We welcome WPP's move to the NYSE, home to the largest global media and communications services companies,” said NYSE president Tom Farley.
“We look forward to being part of the company's future growth.”
