Labour's Khan wins London mayoral race
Sadiq Khan has 'won' the London mayoral race with 44% of the ballots cast in his favour, according to provisional results.
The 45-year-old Labour candidate beat Conservative rival Zac Goldsmith who came in second place with 35% votes.
The win will be seen as a victory for Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn who has drawn criticism from MPs.
Shadow Scottish secretary Ian Murray said voters do not see Corbyn as a “credible party of future government”.
The Labour party was falling into third place behind the Scottish National Party and the Tories in Scotland.
