FTSE 100 movers: Dowlais gains; Anglo American retreats
London’s FTSE 100 was flat at 7,916.98 in afternoon trade on Monday.
Automotive engineer Dowlais, which was recently demerged from Melrose, was the standout gainer on the index.
Retailers were also on the rise, with JD Sports, Burberry, Next and Primark owner AB Foods all higher.
Precious metals miner Fresnillo lost its shine, while Anglo American retreated as iron prices fell.
Standard Chartered was weaker ahead of first-quarter results this week.
