FTSE 100 movers: Fresnillo shines; British Land hit by downgrade
London’s FTSE 100 was up 0.4% at 7,565.39 in afternoon trade on Wednesday.
Precious metals miner Fresnillo was the standout gainer on the index, closely followed by discount retailer B&M and online supermarket Ocado.
Banks Standard Chartered and HSBC were among the top performers, still recovering from recent heavy losses.
On the downside, British Land was knocked lower by a downgrade to ‘sell’ at Goldman Sachs. Land Securities and Segro also fell.
