FTSE 250 movers: Wizz flies higher; housebuilders fall
London’s FTSE 250 was flat at 21,188.97 in afternoon trade on Tuesday.
Harbour Energy surged after it said its acquisition of the Wintershall Dea asset portfolio was set to complete earlier than expected.
The deal is now expected to close early next month, versus previous guidance of early in the fourth quarter.
"This follows considerable progress made on satisfying the conditions to completion, including recent receipt of Mexico regulatory consents," the company said.
Wizz Air flew higher after Ryanair boss Michael O’Leary said fare falls had levelled out.
Housebuilders Bellway and Crest Nicholson fell following solid gains last week and as Jefferies resumed coverage on the shares at ‘buy’ and ‘hold’ respectively.
It said that despite a strong share price performance in the sector since October last year, its analysis suggests that share prices are now looking through 2025, but are in most part still shy of reflecting FY26 estimates.
