Time Out Market Barcelona Opens
Time Out Group plc (AIM: TMO), the global media and hospitality business, is pleased to announce that Time Out Market Barcelona opens to the public today.
This is the Company's ninth food and cultural market and the first to open in Spain. There are further seven signed and due to open between 2024 and 2027.
Located in the Maremagnum shopping and leisure destination in the Port Vell area, the Market is close to landmarks such as the Gothic Quarter, the Barceloneta and connected to the famous La Rambla via a pedestrian bridge. Alongside some of the city's best food and drinks, guests will also be able to take in stunning views of the city and the sea from outdoor seating areas.
The Market brings the best of the city together under one roof based on Time Out's editorial curation: across 56,500 sq ft, there are 14 award-winning chefs including two Michelin star chefs with four stars between them, up-and-coming restaurateurs and much-loved local gems, and a full-service restaurant. The Market also features four bars including one managed by Paradiso - which topped the list of The World's 50 Best Bars 2022 - an event space and a podcast station.
Time Out has had a strong brand presence in Barcelona since 2008 and the Market opening in the city will further increase synergies between Media and Markets, including unique, bespoke client campaigns spanning both digital channels and live events in the Markets.
