Interim Dividend Declaration
ASA International Group plc - Interim Dividend Declaration
ASA International Group plc (LSE: ASAI), one of the world's largest international microfinance institutions, is today pleased to declare an interim dividend of USD 0.03 per share.
Given the sustained improvement in ASA International's operational and financial performance as demonstrated in the 2024 Interim Results and the Q3 2024 Business Update and in line with the capital allocation framework, the Board has approved an interim dividend of USD 0.03 per share. This is the equivalent of 2.37 pence per share based on the USD/GBP exchange rate as of 4 December 2024. The exact exchange rate will be set on 16 December 2024, prior to payment of the dividend on 20 December 2024.
The Board expects to declare a final dividend for 2024 alongside the publication of the 2024 Full Year Results on 24 April 2025.
ASA International intends over time to pay a dividend with a target aggregate dividend pay-out ratio of 30 percent of IFRS net profits realized during the financial year. The Board may elect to pay any such dividend in two instalments in the form of an interim dividend and a final dividend. This dividend policy reflects the long-term earnings and cash-flow potential of the Group, consistent with maintaining sufficient financial flexibility.
