Tuesday preview: China activity data, UK employment in focus
Investors' attention on Tuesday would be mainly on Asia.
Overnight, China's National Bureau of Statistics was scheduled to publish a barrage of activity indicators for the world's second-largest economy in December.
On home shores, at 0700 GMT the Office for National Statistics was to release November's employment report.
Consensus was for the rate of unemployment to have moved sideways over the past three months at 3.7%, the same as in October.
Core average earnings on the other hand were expected to have accelerated a tad over that same stretch in comparison to the same three months of 2021 from 6.1% to 6.3%.
In the US, at 1330 GMT the Federal Reserve Bank of New York will publish its factory sector index for January.
Remarks from N.Y. Fed boss John Williams would follow at 2100 GMT.
Across the Channel meanwhile, the spotlight was expected to be on the ZEW Institute's gauge of economic confidence for Germany in January.
