Directors dealings: Card Factory chief tops up stake

The greeting card manufacturer added 12,453 shares to her holdings in the company at 296.10p apiece, for a total transaction amount of £39,843.22.

That took her total holdings to 65,253 shares, which was equivalent to 0.02% of the firm's share capital.

On 25 May, the company reported on what it described as a solid start to the year, with its like-for-like sales running at the upper end of its targeted range for growth of between 1% and 3% during the first three months of 2017.

Management also flagged the potential for a further capital return later in the year.

That same day, analysts at Investec reiterated their 'buy' recommendation on the stock, telling clients the valuation was "undemanding".

"Valuation looks undemanding (CY18e PE 15.5x) given growth potential, cash generation and an attractive combined 7.5% yield. Reiterate BUY."
