US pre-open: Stocks seen higher as oil prices advance; jobless claims eyed
US futures pointed to a firmer open on Wall Street amid rising oil prices, as investors looked to some key jobs data.
At 1115 BST, Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 futures were up 0.3%, while Nasdaq futures were 0.4% higher.
In Europe, the main indices were trading in the black, with volumes a little lower than usual as France and Germany enjoyed a bank holiday for Ascension Day, although stock markets there were open.
