ConvaTec has hired former Dixons Carphone finance chief Jonny Mason as to replace Frank Schulkes as chief financial officer.

The medical products group said it agreed with Schulkes that he would step down as CFO and a director on 11 March after four years in the job. Mason be CFO designate from 31 January and will take over as CFP on 12 May.
Mason was CFO at Dixons Carphone, now renamed as Currys, from 2018 to 2021. Before that he spent four years as Halfords' CFO and ran the company for four months. He is an engineer and accountant by training and worked for Shell and Hanson early in his career.
Karim Bitar, ConvaTec's chief executive, said: "I would like to take this opportunity to thank Frank. Under his leadership the finance function has improved, we have stood up the global business service centre and have strengthened the balance sheet.
"Jonny brings a strong track record of driving growth through transformation and joins us at an exciting point on our journey."
ConvaTec said in late October that annual organic revenue growth would be towards the upper end of guidance. The company's shares fell 1.1% to 191.85p at 08:42 GMT.
