The FTSE 100 low-cost carrier said its load factor for February was also ahead of the same period last year, by one percentage point, to 93%.
On a rolling 12-month basis to the end of February, passengers were ahead 9.2% at 82.26 million, with the airline’s load factor rising 1.6 percentage points to 93.2%.
The company did note that its figures did not include operations at Berlin Tegel Airport, where the airline is gradually ramping up its operations after the collapse of Air Berlin late last year.
“Passenger numbers continue to be in line with expectations, with further detail to be provided at our first half results on 15 May,” easyJet’s board said of its Tegel operations in its short statement.
