Qinetiq names Shawn Purvis as president and CEO of US operations
Defence technology company Qinetiq named Shawn Purvis as president and chief executive of Qinetiq US on Monday, effective 16 February.

Qinetiq said Purvis, currently a member of the executive leadership team and corporate vice president at Northrop Grumman, had more than 25 years of P&L experience and had led billion-dollar organisations in the areas of defence, intelligence and cyber security technical solutions, achieving organic revenue growth and margin improvement year-on-year. It also noted that Purvis' experience included the functional integration of a multi-billion dollar acquisition.
The FTSE 250-listed firm also highlighted that as CEO of Qinetiq US, Purvis will be responsible for the complete operations of the business while transforming the division into "a world-class provider" of "innovative defence and security solutions".
